Overdraft Protection Notice
What you need to know about Overdraft and Overdraft Fees
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough available funds in your account to cover a transaction, but Pathward, National Association elects to pay it anyway. We offer an optional Overdraft Protection Service (the “Service”) that is explained below.
This notice explains our Service.
What are the standard overdraft practices that come with my account?
We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:
· Checks and other transactions made using your account number
· ACH debit transactions
· Automatic payments
We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you enroll in our optional Service:
· ATM withdrawals
· Everyday debit card transactions
We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction.
If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.
What fees will I be charged if Pathward, National Association pays my overdraft?
Under our Service:
· If you overdraw your account by more than $10.00, we will charge you a $15.00 Overdraft Fee each time we pay an overdraft.
· To avoid being charged the Overdraft Fee, you must bring the Available Balance of your account to zero or a positive balance within twenty-four (24) hours of the first settled transaction that caused you to overdraw your account.
· There is a limit of four (4) Overdraft Fees we can charge you per statement cycle.
What if I want Pathward, National Association to authorize and pay overdrafts on my ATM and everyday debit card transactions through the Service?
